Summer Knitting

Summer seemed to have entrenched itself this year and is still hanging on. If you spend your days looking for a place to cool off, come visit our air conditioned shop and knit a while with us. We still have lots of summer fibers on the shelves... cotton, linen, silk and much more... for those small summer projects. We are also getting new shipments of fall fibers each week so now's the time to start thinking sweaters, shrugs, and shawls.

Our summer hours will continue through Labor day, when we'll begin to stay open a little longer in the evening. Check the website and e-news for the change.

2010 Scarf-a-Month Club

We're more than half way through the year in our Scarf-a-Month Club and what a beautiful array of scarves have been created with a fabulous variety of yarns and patterns. Check our our wall of scarves when you're in the store. We're still working on finishing the 12 months of samples. Just last week we were all comparing notes on who's finished which scarves and what's still on the needles.

A big THANK YOU to the Vermont Country Store for their generous donation of $500 to pay for the helmet liner yarn for the Vermont National Guard Troops that were deployed to Afghanistan in December. We made and delivered over 600 helmet liners (and counting)! Many of our knitters are still making helmet liners and we are delivering these to our contact here in Vermont who assures us that they are still used and appreciated.
